The two composers, two time Golden Eye Award Nominees and one time Golden Eye Award Winner, make up a dazzlingly skilled composer team who create evocative and emotional scores across all genres of film, television and advertising.

The pair work seamlessly as a team, complementing each other’s styles and combining contemporary classical instrumentation with modern and experimental techniques, to create a unique and original sound for every score, tailored to the story and emotion of each picture.

Michael and Matteo have a great track record of writing to picture for both film and advertising. Recent work highlights include scores for brands including Samsung, McDonalds, Pfizer, Hewlett Packard, BMW, and Samsonite, agencies including W+K Amsterdam, Grey/Townhouse NY, and The Community US, and directors including Juan Cabral, Pierre Monnard and Vedran Rupic. They have also scored the highly successful Swiss feature films Platzspitzbaby (2020) and Off Season (2020), the French thriller series Hors Saison (2022), and Neumatt (2022) - the first Swiss TV series to be picked up by Netflix - to be available in 190 countries.

They are determined to work with the best possible musical collaborators in the field, including: Anthony Weeden (conductor: The Theory of Everything, Thor), Cliff Masterson (conductor: The Batman, Rings Of Power), Katherine Tinker (pianist: Spencer, Phantom Thread), Nick Wollage (engineer: The Northman, Solo – A Star Wars Story), musicians of the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Contemporary Orchestra. They have recorded scores at the renonwned Abbey Road Studios and AIR Studios in London.

In addition to their mutual work, Michael works as an arranger and conductor for crossover-concerts bringing pop artists and orchestras together on stage. Past concerts include sharing the stage with Pekka Kuusisto and Oscar-winning composer Hauschka. Matteo frequently collaborates with internationally renowned cellist Martin Tillman on a broad range of production music.

Matteo and Michael have strong work ethics and are fast and precise collaborators. They are fascinated by all kinds of stories and musical genres, which makes them an invaluable asset for any project and assures their ability for a tailored soundtrack.

They know exactly how to extract the emotions out of a script and turn them into music. They are foremost great storytellers and for them story always comes first.
— Pierre Monnard, director of the Netflix series „New Heights“
